Sports and Work Medicine

Providers evaluate and treat medical conditions related to work and sports injuries. Everything we do is aimed at helping our patients heal their injuries and return to full and normal function as quickly as possible. Additionally, our highly trained certified staff perform DOT and pre-employment physicals along with DOT/non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.

We specialize in the treatment of athletes and other physically active individuals. We treat muscle, ligament, tendon and bone problems, as well as chronic illnesses that can affect our patient’s physical abilities, for example asthma and diabetes. The IMMC physicians can help in managing and preventing future sports related injuries. Sport medicine diagnosis and treatments can include musculoskeletal injuries, cardiology issues, unexplained underperformance syndrome, exercise-induced asthma, screening for cardiac abnormalities and diabetes in sports.

Sports Physical

Sports, school and camp physicals are available at IMMC. A sports physical exam helps determine whether or not it’s safe for a patient to participate in a particular sport. Schedule your sports physical appointment now (208)238-1000.

DOT Exams

The Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination must be performed by a licensed examiner on the FMCSA National Registry. The IMMC physicians are certified by the FMCSA to perform DOT physical examinations. DOT physical exams are valid for up to 24 months.
